What is Motorhispania?

Motorhispania is a Spanish motorcycle and scooter manufacturer founded in 1948 by Oscar Rava.

Interestingly, the company initially sold Lancia cars, but decided to switch to making motorcycles for two reasons:

1: In those days, Spain had a tough time financially, and few people were interested in Italian sports cars

2: Oscar Rava discovered that selling mopeds could be more profitable in the long run.

The first mopeds sold were licensed Moto Guzzi mopeds in the 65cc range. However, from 1974 and onwards, Motorhispania began producing their own mopeds.

Today, many used models are still in circulation, particularly in the Dutch, Austrian, and Scandinavian markets.
